When we picked up the boys from camp we spent Saturday with Ma and Pa. We hit the park in the morning for a run and a bike ride. Rita wanted to swim in the lake to complete our triathlon, but I was scare of gators.

The boys feed the geese, they had to run for their lives when the bread ran out.

The rest of Saturday afternoon we spent working on our tan.

Camp Ma was founded in 2010. The boys enjoy a week each summer with my mother and their cousins. Today, while in the pool at a the hotel Zac tried to explain to another boy that he had be on vacation for 8 days and that he was at Camp Ma till yesterday. Now even the kids in South Carolina know about the camp. I uploaded a few of the many things they did last week. To the right you will find the group on there way to enjoy some Chick-fil-a. Moooooo.

We stop at Falling Waters State Park after we left P.C. for lunch on the way home. Behind us was the swimming area it was filled with turtles.

They look excited as we embarked to find the waterfall.

No waterfall just a limestone wall.

On the way to PC I found a state park to check out.

It claim to fame is a large cave.

Us heading underground on our tour.

or the gold mine we went in on spring break.

I had to enlarge this one so you could see the salute from the boys. It seems to me that I maybe a little commanding as we prepared to leave on the hike. I have no idea where this comes from.

We found our glory hole at the gold mine. The kids found enough gold so that we can stay on vacation forever. The best part was going into the tunnels underground. The actual panning process was hard work.

A highlight was finding Bigfoot's chair when he was out roaming the country side.

This is the view from the porch of our cabin looking towards the creek below. We saw some wild turkeys come through here one morning. If you were to move 10 feet to your right your view would be almost the same and you would be in the hot tub. Enjoying nature is tough.

Last Tuesday Josh, Rita, and I went downtown for lunch. We walked over to the park to work off the BBQ we ate. The park sits along a river walk that the city built. It was just a fun day enjoying the almost spring weather. Josh had a blast mainly because he had mom and dad to himself.

Our minds have a marvelous capacity to notice the unusual. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds—even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less. Those who live in thanksgiving daily, however, have a way of opening their eyes and seeing the wonders and beauties of this world as though seeing them for the first time. I encourage you to look around you. Notice the people you care about. Notice the fragrance of the flowers and the song of the birds. Notice and give thanks for the blue of the sky, the color of the leaves, and the white of the clouds. Enjoy every sight, every smell, every taste, every sound. After the race we return to Dasher to find the boys fishing. My mom always taught me nothing like a chance to wet the hook. Matthew and Papa were the top fishermen, but we all had a great time. Daddy kissed a fish... only one boy cried...we got to pee outdoors... and Josh learned to art of telling a fishing story. He described his fish as really big and if asked he will tell you that it tried to pull him in the water.

In Matthew's video he was awarded a free kick from just outside the box. I would not have uploaded the video if it did not have a happy ending. Long day at the soccer fields. We lost all three games. Zachary's team played well, but lost 5-4. Zac almost tied the game up late. Matthew scored five goals today over the two games, but that was not enough to win either game. Zachary's game started at 9am, that would be the reason he had his hands in his pockets.(cool weather) In Zachary's video Zac is number #1, he begins the game with the kick off then shows up later to get in the fight at the end of the video.

Rita kiss a eel.Overall, we had fun and enjoyed ourselves. It was Joshua first trip to Seaworld and he loved saying all the names as much as seeing them. The whole way down he wanted to see the orcas. A three year old saying orcas just makes me smile. I believe his favorite was the penguins, we had to do that ride a number of times both days. The day before we got there a baby orca was born, Matthew would tell you it was the 24th to be born in capatitivy and 16th in Orlando, sometimes he knows to much. All in all a successful trip.

We had a great day at the park. Ma and Pa met us there. Braves lost 3-1. I told Matthew it was like my childhood when they never won. Long day, too much driving, but always worth it when you do it for your kids. In the 13 hours with Matthew I answered hundreds of questions, most were baseball related. I felt like I did pretty well, until on the way home Matthew asked me, "why where there so many spa on this interstate? "... they grow up so fast...enjoy them...does this mean I am old?

Like the sign says behind us, This mother and son always, "brings the heat."

Both Matthew and Zachary enjoyed the playing on the diamond this year. Matthew excelled with a .875 batting average while playing most of the time at catcher. Zachary played all over but as he would say," I just want to hit."

Zac's Bike Riding

Zachary broke his one training wheel off early in the week. He wanted me to fix it so I just removed it. I few days later he wanted me to put Matthew's old training wheels on his bike. Instead, we removed the other training wheel and five minutes later, voila we have a bike rider.
