Go Braves!

Just threw a few photos up of the exciting day. The Braves won 4-2 and we saw all four homeruns. Joshua enjoyed the tomahawk chop. Zachary liked the fact he could dance to the music. Matthew was our play by play announcer.

Amicalola Falls State Park (Waterfall)

We found the bottom of the falls.

Good shot of the boys.

This was after about 200 steps. Joshua is not pictured. I believe he was tried after I carried him the last 50 steps.

 Amicalola Falls
If you make it to the top of the falls you get to put your feet into some ice cold water.

Amicalola State Park (hiking)

I had to enlarge this one so you could see the salute from the boys. It seems to me that I maybe a little commanding as we prepared to leave on the hike. I have no idea where this comes from.

Zac, Rita, and Matthew on the trail to find the waterfall.
We made it to the top of the falls. The 604 steps were a good work out for us. Zac, Matt, and Rita on are way down, from the top of the world.

Please notice my backpack. Josh fell thus his leg did not work any more.

GLORY HOLE!

We found our glory hole at the gold mine. The kids found enough gold so that we can stay on vacation forever. The best part was going into the tunnels underground. The actual panning process was hard work.

A Day of Fishing

Rita and Josh fishing from the bridge.

Zachary posing with his brim.

Joshua showing off the bass.

The best part of fishing; the relaxing.

Matthew with a good size catfish and just waiting for the next one. The fishing gods were good to us today.
We had 3 catfish, 2 trout, a bass and a brim.

Hiking near our cabin.

Notice the smiles this was the start of the expedition.
We reached the top of the mountain...but it was just a big hill...don't tell anyone.
On the other side of the hill we found a hat wearing banjo playing bear.
 Through the woods we go...
A highlight was finding Bigfoot's chair when he was out roaming the country side.
Here we have made it down the "hill" and down by the creek.

Nature Views from Spring Break 2011

This is the view from the porch of our cabin looking towards the creek below. We saw some wild turkeys come through here one morning. If you were to move 10 feet to your right your view would be almost the same and you would be in the hot tub. Enjoying nature is tough.
This shot was taken by the professional Rita of the Cavender Creek.
Cabin #4 in her majestic beauty.
 Fishing pond on the property.
The Amicalola waterfall in the background.
Closer view of the falls.

Chehaw Zoo

Alligators, Rinos, and Bison oh my...
The family had a fun day out at Chehaw a few weeks ago.
Joshua is not pictured we lost him over by the monkeys,
maybe they will teach him how to be photogentic.
